Chairman

Halldór J. Kristjánsson has held leadership roles in both public administration and international finance. He served as Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Industry in Iceland and was CEO of Landsbanki. He has also held senior positions in the banking and financial sectors in the UK and Canada. In addition, Halldór has served on the boards of numerous companies and industry associations.

Vice Chairman

Ingólfur Guðmundsson is a Financial Consultant with over four decades of experience in banking and corporate leadership. He spent two decades at Landsbanki in several positions among then Manager Director for Retal and Private Banking, before serving as CEO of LÍFSVERK, the Engineers' Pension Fund, Managing Director of iKort, and CEO of CRI from 2019 to 2022. He currently sits on the boards of several Icelandic financial and cultural organizations.

Fiona Fei is International Business Director at Geely Holding Group, a Fortune 500 company and leader in new energy vehicles, including methanol-based technologies. With over a decade at Geely, she has led or supported major international mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, and currently oversees global strategic investment and commercial development.

Dr. Sivert Vist is Investment Director at Equinor Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Equinor, an international energy company headquartered in Norway. Since 2004, he has held leadership positions across Equinor in onshore operations, large-scale investment projects, and R&D. At Equinor Ventures, he focuses on early-stage and growth investments. He also serves on the board of Elestor B.V. in the Netherlands.

Sindri Sindrason was Chairman of CRI from 2007 to 2016, CEO until 2019, and Chief Business Officer until 2020. He previously served as CEO of Pharmaco/Actavis from 1981 to 2003 and on its board until 2008. He has since held board roles across sectors including IT, food, insurance, and biotech.

Alternate Director

Kristine Kvalø Johansson is Investment Manager at Equinor Ventures. Since joining Equinor in 2010, she has held roles in procurement, strategic partnerships, and negotiations. At Equinor Ventures, she leads investment processes and manages parts of the company’s venture portfolio. She is a board member of Rovco Ltd. in the UK.

Chief Executive Officer

Gauti Reynisson has extensive international experience in finance and operations. He has held senior roles at City Leisure Group, Heimavellir, and Heimstaden, leading investment development and driving organisational growth and transformation.

Chief Engineering Officer

Björn Harðarson has over 14 years of experience in engineering and project management, including eight years in Norway’s oil and gas sector. He holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on sustainable energy systems.

Chief Technology Officer

Emeric Sarron has more than 15 years of experience in the chemical and syngas industries. He is a specialist in CRI’s core technologies and process design. Before joining CRI, he held senior engineering roles at Haldor Topsoe and Air Liquide.

Chief Commercial Officer

Michael Ertmann has over 20 years of experience in energy and finance. He has held senior roles at EIFO, CIP, and Ørsted, where he led financing for global energy projects and helped establish Ørsted’s venture activities in Silicon Valley.
