Project Portfolio

Carbon Recycling International (CRI) has been developing and deploying CO₂-to-methanol technology for more than two decades.

In 2012, CRI commissioned the George Olah Renewable Methanol Plant in Iceland, the world’s first facility to produce renewable methanol from captured CO₂ and renewable hydrogen at industrial scale.

Since then, CRI has supported the development of CO₂-to-methanol projects around the world, demonstrating the commercial potential of converting carbon emissions into renewable fuels and chemical feedstocks.

Working with industrial partners, project developers and engineering companies, CRI’s technology has been implemented in some of the largest and most efficient CO₂-to-methanol plants built to date.

Explore the projects below to see how CRI’s technology is being deployed globally.
